First “Decent” Waterfall

First "Decent" Waterfall

This is one of my first attempts at taking pictures of waterfalls. I didn’t have a tripod with me to hold the camera steady so I had to take several shots at various shutter speeds to get the right amount of light, focus, and stabilization.

After editing it a bit in GIMP, I think it came out ok. Next time I find a raging waterfall – and it was raging (with all the record snowfall Colorado got this year) – I’ll be sure to use a tripod if I can.

This is Box Canyon Falls in Ouray Colorado
