Unheeded Warning

Unheeded Warning

Somehow, signs, boats, crab & lobster cages, and all sorts of items found in or around the shore get damaged and left as garbage. This is actually a warning sign telling people to stay off the clay cliffs that surround the lighthouse in Gay Head on Martha’s Vineyard. But much like the abandoned boats you see laying around the shore, this sign fell and was left to serve as a reminder of how wasteful we can be – even when trying to do the right thing and warn trespassers of the harm they can cause to nature.

Its very ironic, actually, to see a sign warning others of the frailty of the ecosystem when it is causing harm.
