How To: Downgrade your iPhone 3G to iOS 3.1.3

by Christopher Paul on July 30, 2010

Lots of iPhone 3G owners, including me, have had serious issues with iOS 4. It’s slow as molasses, apps crash, and you don’t get the goodies that come with the latest version like multitasking. Mac|Life and other outlets have posted steps on how to downgrade your 3G to the previous version.

If I didn’t have an iPhone 4 already, I would have downgraded. If you don’t have the skills or confidence to downgrade yourself, there are videos out there that explain how to make the device run (a little bit) faster. Hint: disable Spotlight searches.
