NYC Subway to Get Wi-Fi, Enter 21st Century

by Christopher Paul on July 31, 2010

According to Mashable & Bloomberg, New York City will be joining the tube systems of Berlin and Tokyo in offering Wi-Fi. The project was practically dead because the funding wasn’t there but, somehow, they found the boatloads of cash needed to outfit the City’s platforms. Only the platforms and mezzanines will get service but its better to have some Wi-Fi than none at all.

I can’t wait to use Facetime with someone across the platform!
