Vintage National Parks Posters

by Christopher Paul on August 15, 2010

Vintage posters are always nice to look at. The simplicity, the elegance, and the style make me feel as if modern media is designed for shock value and flair to the point of distraction with no attempt at artistry; I sometimes wish we could go back to advertising that way. And these posters advertising the National Parks & wildlife preservation are particularly special because it invokes images and feelings of a simpler time where the speed of the world was exponentially slower than it is today.

National Geographic has more in their gallery – ten in all – and I wish you could order replica prints of these; if they were offered, I’d have one framed and hung in the living room.
