Jacob’s Turn

by Christopher Paul on October 5, 2010

Robert Scoble tweeted this a few days ago and I watched it on my iPhone after he said it was a tearjerker. I thought it was odd that @Scobleizer would get chocked up over a video so I thought I’d give it a shot.

Its a quick story of a four year old boy named Jacob who, like all his older siblings plays baseball. In fact, the whole family and town is obsessed with baseball. But Jacob isn’t like all the other fans. Jacob has Down Syndrom.

My simple words do nothing to justify the video. Its a great story of love and worry for one’s child and how the community came to rally and support a child who innocently goes through life wanting to be like everyone else. I hope you enjoy this video. I did.

I got choked up myself.
