How Crayons Are Made

by Christopher Paul on December 5, 2010

If you watched Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood as a kid, you might have seen him visit the Crayola factory. That visit was one of my favorite and most memorable episodes and I’ve always wanted to visit the factory myself. But I had forgotten how fascinated I was with the process until Mark Frauenfelder linked to another video showing how they’re made. And if you look at Fred Rogers’ video and compare it to this one, you can see how the manufacturing has changed slightly. I can’t seem to find that segment on YouTube but this one shows the same process.
