Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse

by Christopher Paul on December 23, 2010

I didn’t stay up to watch the lunar eclipse this time. Even though it occurred on the Winter Solstice – something that hasn’t happened since 1638 and won’t happen again until 2094.

Fortunately, I can see what it looked like thanks to William Castleman’s time-lapse video of the event. He used photos taken from his DSLR every 20 seconds to make this.
