Subliminal Message in Tangled Promo?

by Christopher Paul on February 13, 2011

Disney is usually known for its squeaky (get it??) clean image. Its animated films are targeted to the young and old but are always suitable for families. But now and then, conspiracy theorists look at what they produce with a keen eye for something other than their normal published persona.

There was the accidental phallic symbology in the underwater castle of The Little Mermaid and Jessica Rabbit not wearing underwear in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And now, this.

As you can see from the image above, it is alleged that Disney is using subliminal messaging to promote their latest animated film, Tangled. Now that it’s pointed out to me, I see it. But I never saw it before. I guess that’s the point of subliminal messaging, though.

There are a few other examples out there of Disney not living up to its traditional image. While some are more obvious than others, some are just obscure and the only way they could have been discovered is of someone deliberately looked and listened to every frame.

You are a moron if you cannot see the truth with your own eyes when the evidence is everywhere, son.
