How To Pass Through A Door

by Christopher Paul on February 27, 2011

I agree with IsA’s Wonderful World. People don’t know how to hold doors for others in New York. In fact, that’s probably the only thing that upsets me about the people there (other than Euro-trash taking up the entire sidewalk and walking merrily down the street… slowly). I always attribute the lack of etiquette to selfishness and arrogance on their part – a holier than thou attitude.

But maybe no one taught them how to pass through a door. That’s where this handy flowchart comes in. Now if it only mentioned that people should follow the signs, too, it would be perfect. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to enter through the ‘In’ door only for some idiot to exit the same door at the same time.
