Hike The Appalachian Trail in Four Minutes

by Christopher Paul on March 8, 2011

I’ve hiked a few portions of the Appalachian Trail. I did a 20 mile hike as a teen and smaller portions here and there over the last 10 years or so. I’ve always wished I had the skill, time, patience, and logistical support from others to hike the entire 2,200 miles all at once. It’s something I would have liked to experience.

Alas.

But I can get a small sense as to what its like by watching this stop motion video of the hike thanks to Kevin Gallagher. It took six months but, if you were to ask me, I’d say it was worth it.

Cool video – I'm kind of surprised it's as narrow as it is … seems like it might be easy to lose your way. I've never hiked any part of it – maybe one day!
