How Frito-Lay Makes Potato Chips

I can’t embed the video but it’s still worth watching… It’s short – even with the stupid ad at the beginning.

This Frito-Lay factory – for all the potatoes it uses – only services the northeast – Maine to New Jersey. It takes 4 lbs of potatoes to make 1 lb of potato chips. But the unused potatoes go to local farms for feed and the plant generates its own heat and electricity. They even use some of the packaging to produce reusable shopping bags.
