I recently downloaded Minitube from the Mac App store and I have to say I’m pretty impressed. It’ an easy way to watch YouTube videos and queues them up almost like a TV channel does its programming.

There are many things I like about Minitube – like the quick ability to search for videos. And, perhaps more importantly to bloggers, the ability to copy the YouTube URL to the clipboard easily. I also like how it doesn’t consume as much computer resources when watching video and has an Flash free way of controlling playback and volume.

One of the things I want to see if the app is a way to cut and paste or drag and drop YouTube URLS into the app for a better viewing experience. The developer, Flavio Tordini, says he’s added it to his “to do” list and I hope to see my suggestion added in a future version soon.

If only for the easy way to search YouTube videos and watch them without using Flash and other resource intensive software, I’d say it’s worth the $9.99. As it get’s better, it will certainly be worth the cost as it improves on the YouTube experience
