Like Jason Kottke, I saw Koyaanisqatsi with my wife earlier this week. She and I went to see this film in 2002 when we first started dating; I think the third movie was coming out and they played the original in one of the film centers in Queens.

Anyway, I think it was Kottke who alerted me to the live performance of the music composed by Phillip Glass by the NY Philharminic Orchestra and, as a treat, we went to go see it. It was a great experience and if you haven’t seen the movie, it’s available to watch on YouTube.

Thanks to Jason for pointing out this event was happening and for posting about the movie on YouTube.
