The Best Longreads of 2011

by Christopher Paul on December 18, 2011

This year, since I bought an iPad 2, I’ve been reading a lot more. I’ve read a few books but mostly thousands of blog posts and short commentary on the goings on of the world. Somehow, though, I grew tired of the short posts and wanted something in between the length of a novel and the brevity of blog.

Enter long reads.

Whether its from Longreads, Give me Something Good To Read, or Longform, there are so many great places for me to find something captivating. And all three of them – among others – have curated the best writing and have special post listing the best of this year.

You can find the best of 2011’s long form writing by clicking here, here, and here. If you use Instapaper, Read It Later, or Readability, you can easily queue these articles up from their respective websites. I still have a list of 9 articles on Readability and who knows how many articles on Instapaper to get through but I’m already looking forward to next year’s best long form writing.
