I’m a big fan of the blog Lifehacker and today, they pointed to this hack for Google Maps that shows the subway system for New York City. You can search addresses and get the nearest subway stations and the lines they serve – its really neat! Its in beta (isn’t everything these days) and its slow to load because it loads every single subway station into memory. I can’t say that I could ever be a huge fan of On NY Turf because of their self proclaimed “…decidedly progressing angle.” but it can be informative albeit narrow in its scope.
Anyway, if you are new to NYC like me, this can be a big help while navigating your way around.
