Sedimentary Paint

by Christopher Paul on May 23, 2011

Over the years people in White Rock, New Mexico have painted a particular rock a new shade every day. Someone wanted to see how thick the coats of paint were and found it was over 5.5″ thick. The result is an example of sedimentary paint.

Take Kottke’s advice and view the whole thing large.
