Ok.. so the hard drive didn’t crash. I don’t know what happened but after I reseated the cables, my HD came back to life. I don’t know what caused it to do that but it has happened before. Except the last time it happened, I never got a ‘Can’t find NTLDR’ message – which usually signals a failed drive.

Anyway, now that its back up, I have to figure out why it keeps happening and what to do to fix it.
